    Supply & Inventory Analyst

    Job purpose

    The Supply & Inventory Analyst (SIA) will be responsible for managing inventory across multiple warehouses of our distribution network in South Africa and related supporting Supply Chain processes. The key aim is to ensure product availability of the right product at the right location and optimizing service levels for our customers. In this role, the SIA will liaise with stakeholders from Demand & Supply Planning, Master Data, Customer Service, Logistics and Commercial to prepare availability according to best commercial knowledge and proactively avoid any order cuts.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Daily check on service level, reason for order cuts and opportunities to optimizer inventory levels.
    • Prepare and send out daily stock availability report.
    • Check stock availability in all our warehouses and arrange stock transfers across the network.
    • E2E responsibility of replenishment process including stock transfers (STO), stock adjustments in our system to adjust net requirements for production and any required administration activities.
    • Follow up on stock transfers (STO) and stock availability at all warehouses with our 3PL.
    • Data integrity and housekeeping for complete portfolio (such as unit of measure, prices etc. are correct so that products can be received and booked in at warehouse without any issues).
    • Proactive analysis and avoidance of any service level hits and order cuts.
    • Improve inventory health by adjusting safety stocks, calling out high cover products and adjusting relevant supply and purchasing parameters.
    • Assist with weekly risk report and require system adjustments.
    • Constantly strive to identify improvement initiatives.
    • Prepare KPI analysis and dashboards / presentation for regional forums.
    • Follow up on supplier PO, assist with closing of open PO and analysis of potential mismatches.
    • Prepare high cover and SLOB report.
    • Supply Planning for out of region demand.
       

    Specific requirements

    • Acquire knowledge of the Quality Management System that have been adopted by the AMET Cluster of Marketing Companies and the relevant Quality System Procedures that are applicable to the job through inclusion of related processes and procedures in the individual training plan.
    • Maintain 100 % adherence in training plan timeliness and ensure appropriate application of relevant Quality and Compliance processes and procedures to the job.
    • Report any non-compliances or deviation to the Business Quality and Compliance Head of sub-cluster in AMET

    Essential Knowledge, Skills And Core Competencies

    • Master (preferred) or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics, Operations or related field.
    • 3-5 years experiences in Demand / Supply Planning, inventory management or analyst role.
    • Good working knowledge in ERP and Planning systems. SAP R/3 and APO / SNP strongly preferred.
    • Experienced user of MS Office, especially Excel capabilities are required.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large amounts of information leading to sound conclusions for effective decision making.
    • Able to prioritize within a complex and dynamic business environment.
    • A positive minded team player with a positive mindset and willingness for change.
    • A dynamic and self-driven personality, willing to go the extra mile even in periods of high workload.
    • APICS preferred
    • Fluent level of written and spoken English. Additional European language is a plus.
