Specialist - Tactical Procurement at Komatsu Mining

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Manage and oversee all RFX processes and ensure compliance to policy guidelines.
• Drive cost-out savings for the indirect categories and implement cost savings initiatives to meet YOY savings targets for Indirect category.
• Manage order placement, query resolution relating to these orders and expediting overdue orders across all indirect commodities.
• Identify, realize, and track cost saving projects emanating from the procurement of products and services by directly impacting the bottom line of the company.
• Develop, standardize, streamline, and implement strategies and technologies to improve the efficiency of all purchasing transactions, from order to payment, with the goal of reducing transactional cost.
• Define, implement periodic operating contracts including service level agreements for all mainstream categories, and implement pricing control reviews, contract price adjustment models and pricing audits.
• Identify risk in procurement of materials and services and manage programs to mitigate such risks.
• Providing solutions to improve and maintain vendor management resulting in the rationalization and harmonization of the supply base.
• Uphold the organizational policies and ensure compliance for transactions captured under all Indirect Purchasing Groups.

Minimum Skills required.

• Grade 12.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/ related field is required;
• Relevant CIPS qualification would be an added advantage.
• At least 5-10 years’ experience in procurement of industrial commodities in manufacturing environment and value add relationships of which 3 years must have been in a supervisory role.
• Must have working knowledge of contracts and BBBEE.
• SAP R/3 experience is required.
• Computer literate in MS office suit is required; and
• Must have driver’s license and own reliable transport.
