    Specialist: Info Security Engineer

    Purpose

    • To help the companies migrate their information and services into the cloud. It is essential that there is no interruption in services during this migration. To help ensure this by analysing the company's needs and helping to select the appropriate cloud technology. The purpose of this role is to provide cloud security expertise and will be responsible for the implementation of system-specific security controls and security overlays necessary to ensure the resilience of the AWS security posture. As a cloud computing specialist, you must also be able to effectively weigh the potential risks of IT solutions against the company's IT needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • The Cloud Specialist will be responsible for planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications.
    • Managing cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines.
    • Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
    • Educating teams on the implementation of cloud-based initiatives.
    • Provide assurance to meet the organization's security requirements in the cloud.
    • Manage cloud access by defining, writing or implementing IAM (Identity and Access Management) policies and technologies to secure production and corporate access, such as: SSO, SAML.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Manage the configuration and administration for KMS (Key Management Service), Secrets Manager, Certificate Manager, GuardDuty etc.
    • Manage and optimize security remediation plans and processes through effective system scan reviews to identify security vulnerabilities, manage and prevent future recurrence.
    • Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the project.
    • Leverage cloud security assessment tools (CSPM/ CWPP) to monitor cloud workloads and assets for vulnerabilities and security configuration weaknesses.

    Minimum Experience

    • 3+ years of experience in cloud technology, with solid hands-on expertise in cloud security.
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS security offerings.
    • In-depth knowledge of services related to cloud computing, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies.
    • Strong understanding of AWS services and architecture, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Diploma / Degree in computer science, security, or any related field.
    • Recognized industry certifications in cloud security such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CCSP.
