Specialist, Cloud Engineering, Oracle at Standard Bank Group

JOB DESCRIPTION

To support and contribute to a small number of products or work streams relating to the design and implementation of Cloud solutions, operating across a number of Service Teams within SBSA, and proactively engaging with internal stakeholders in the delivery of Cloud solutions. Perform deploy and operate work that pertains to Client Service Services Database operations. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• First Degree in Information Technology as well as a formal qualification,  preferably vendor certified, in the use and administration of Oracle databases.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Azure and AWS Cloud Services 
• 3-6 years’ experience and proven track record in operation and administration of Oracle databases, the Oracle server application and hosted application requirements
• 1-2 years’ experience and proven track record in Development, Automating and Scripting using tools such as CHEF, PowerShell, Python, Visual Studio
• Good understanding of the current state of IT Infrastructure, specifically pertaining to Oracle technology for banking applications hosting.
