    Snr Spec: Legal Marketing (Central Region FS and NC)

    About the Role

    • Responsible for expert legal advice in the financial planning environment and responsible for supporting sales intermediaries on matters of a legal nature as pertains to financial planning.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum Qualifications

    • LLB or B.Com (Law)
    • Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP) specialising in Estate Planning

    Minimum Experience

    • 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collate information to serve as input to managerial reporting or decision making related to an area of specialisation.
    • Understand and apply existing best practice frameworks to assist in the implementation of identified subject matter processes and standards.
    • Provide specialist advice and support in area of accountability to ensure that identified solutions and recommendations are appropriate and effective.
    • Stay abreast with the relevant regulatory and legislative environment.
    • Act as support to training specialists in terms of legal and technical support in the delivery of training initiatives such as DPFM and Financial Planner Induction Course etc.
    • Provides train-the-trainer to training specialists to improve their knowledge and understanding of the legal environment as it applies to Financial Planning.
    • Provide legal and marketing presentations on request to branches and intermediaries with a focus on production.
    • Accountable for assisting Financial Advisers with client engagements relating to financial planning and focusing on estate planning and business risk planning.
    • Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to the area of specialisation.
    • Proactively identify area of specialisation related problems, determine cause and effect and recommend the best option to implement corrective action based on previous experience.
