SHE Manager - Malelane at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• We are looking for a skilled SHE Manager to be part of our Sugar Division and to be based at Malelane. The role provides advisory services and controls the key responsibilities relating to the SHE functions encompassing Safety, Health, and Environment for the Cane Operations Division through input and alignment of plans, programmes and systems in accordance with the RCL Groups strategies or policies and the relevant legislative prescripts and managing compliance, investigative processes, the implementation of corrective action and the management and statutory reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements    

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or Risk Management.
• SAMTRAC
• Valid Code EB Drivers’ license
• 10 years’ experience in the management and implementation of SHERQ systems and controls in a large-scale Agricultural production environment or an Industrial Manufacturing environment.
• To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.
•  Must be willing to relocate if you do no reside within the region.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Forms part of the Agriculture Management team and participates in the Agriculture business planning processes and aligns the functional key performance areas, programmes and deliverables Per Cane JV and RCL Foods farms.
• Manages the Integrated risk Management system for the Cane JVs and RCL FOODS farms.
• Overseeing and maintaining compliance to the Business Management System to conform to relevant ISO, NOSA, Regulatory and industry standards and requirements.
• Responsible and Support for the Incident investigations for Cane JVs and RCL FOODS farm according to the ICAM and appropriate processes.
• Oversee and control the implementation of programmes and interventions to align with the Group’s requirements and policy provisions.
• Controls the Environmental Management provisions and requirements.
• Controls the implementation of Risk Management Plans
• Manages projects and continuous improvement interventions relating to the SHE functions.
• Disseminates functional information on the immediate, short to medium term objectives and current developments, problems and constraints.
• Manages the administrative information consolidation and reporting requirements associated with the key performance and result indicators of the functionality.
• Overseeing the SHE operational teams
