Senior Risk & Governance Officer, D2, SON_NDC0310/24GS at Seriti

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Attending to escalations and enquiries regarding Risk management processes and systems
• Conduct site audits for Risk and Contractor management
• Conduct overview compliance audits on the Contractor Management System
• Conduct overview compliance audits on the Legal Appointment and Document Control processes and ensure processes are followed as per the standards
• Co-ordinate risk reviews as per set schedule
• Co-ordinate the maintenance of the operation risk registers
• Coordination and management of Standardised bowties
• Compile site report for Risk and Contractor management (Monthly, Quarterly and Annually)
• Event and Risk data analysis
• Facilitate the review of the Material Risk Profile and tolerability on a periodic basis
• Monitor adherence to material risk standards and material risk management metrics
• Provide support to Operation on the consistent application of the Risk Management process
• Provide Risk training and support on the consistent application of the Risk Management process
• Support implementation of improvement projects and initiatives related to Material Risk Management
• Support the operations in identifying new risks or changes to existing risks
• Prepare Risk Reports and Analysis and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders       

Requirements:

• Degree / National Diploma in Safety Management / BSc / B-Tech in Mining or Engineering - relevant field
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Mining or Technical professional with relevant Safety training and sound performance record inclusive of which 3 years in middle management position
• Ability to engage, influence, challenge and inspire at all levels to achieve desired system outcomes
• Comprehensive understanding of Safety management systems
• Compiling of presentations and reports
• Technical knowledge of Safety rules & regulations related to Risk and Contractor Management
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office
• Valid driver’s license
• In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

Advantageous:

• Experience in a coal mining environment
