    Senior Lecturer (College of Business & Economics: Department of Industrial Psychology & People Management)

    Job Description:

    The University of Johannesburg is actively recruiting for a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Industrial Psychology and People Management in the Human Resource Management Programme.

    Duties:

    The incumbent will be expected to:

    • Lecturing in Human Resource Management related modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
    • Developing a research pipeline and undertaking proven research in the overarching study fields of Human Resource Management.
    • Developing and maintaining professional and industry partnerships.
    • Participating in supervision of Postgraduate students at Honours, Masters, and Doctoral levels.
    • Assisting in academic administration and leadership.
    • Participate in departmental and college-level committees.

    Minimum requirements

    • A relevant Doctoral degree in Human Resource Management or its associated specialised fields.
    • Between four- and eight-years' working experience in the Higher Education environment.
    • Excellent teaching skills and knowledgeable in the field of Human Resource Management.
    • Proven record of engagement with the scholarship of teaching, e.g. teaching evaluation or relevant portfolio.
    • A burgeoning research track record, with publications in reputable journals and conference proceedings.
    • Well-developed quantitative and/or qualitative methodology skills.
    • Proven supervision experience at Honours and Masters’ level (completed students).
    • Knowledge of the online learning environment and able to use and lecture on an online learner management system e.g., Blackboard & Moodle.

    • Supervision experience at Doctoral level (completed students)
    • Evidence of visibility within the academic community
    • Affiliated and registered with the South African Board for People Practices
