Senior Internal Auditor at Capitec Bank

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be part of the Shared Services Internal Audit Team. You will lead and conduct internal audits of the control environments within Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Risk. Although you will not have direct reports you will be responsible for the team’s delivery on internal audits where you are appointed in the lead role.

You will engage various levels within the above-mentioned functions to understand and assess the associated risks within these departments. You will provide input into the Annual Internal Audit Plan and constructively challenge planned Internal Audits where they no longer make sense given changes within the broader business or department.

You will continuously question the balance of substantive audit techniques versus that of digital/ automated audit techniques (including data analytics) bearing in mind the team’s drive towards digitalization/ automation.

You will actively follow up with management to ensure agreed audit actions are implemented by due dates and that overdue actions and or implementation due date changes are appropriately reported.

Experience

Min:

• Minimum of 3 years in a risk based auditing environment
• Minimum of 3 years in Data Analytics and CAATS

Qualifications (Minimum)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Internal Auditing

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
