    Senior Group Reward Systems Specialist

    We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with advanced analytical ability and experience in building models to join our specialist Reward Team and become accountable for Reward analytics for governance processes such as the Group Remuneration Committee. In this role, you will drive reward analytics for business through the cluster HRD; Guide the cluster in the design, implementation and maintenance of Reward programmes, systems and data that provide a competitive edge and Support the Absa Group’s remuneration strategy. Knowledge and experience with Reporting Tools such as QlikView, Tableau is required.

    Key Accountabilities

    Process Design & Development (50%)

    • Design, implement and continuously improve Reward systems and tools i.e. Payround modeller, salary mandate modeller, bonus build, heat maps, out-of-cycle tracking etc.
    • Develop processes in order to ensure high quality data integrity across systems.
    • Review current Reward processes and practices with the aim of streamlining for purposes of efficiency and effectiveness (focus on continuous improvement).
    • Provide innovative Reward solutions and challenge the current status quo to ensure alignment to Reward best practices.
    • Develop and implement seamless integration between systems (People Platforms / Technology) in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.

    Business Intelligence (25%)

    • Develop monthly or adhoc reports that will help guide both Absa businesses and Reward Leads in making sound reward decisions.
    • Develop predictive analytics, models and dashboards that will help Absa businesses achieve their desired market and internal benchmark position.

    Governance and Risk (25%)

    • Work together with the Governance team to ensure that Payround relevant reporting requirements are met.
    • Develop Reward processes that are in line with Absa Group Reward principles and governance frameworks.
    • Implement record keeping initiatives that aid in the accuracy and accessibility of reward information.

    Education and experience required

    • B-degree, preferably BSc Statistics, Engineering etc. focus on quantitative analysis
    • 5 - 8 years’ experience in performing a Business Intelligence, Financial Control/Reporting or Risk Analyst role.
    • Previous Experience in Building Models will be advantageous
    • Data scientist background would be advantageous
    • Demonstrated ability to pull and interpret data is required
