Senior Bookkeeper

• Our client, a prominent multidisciplinary enterprise based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg, is seeking a skilled and organised Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will excel in a collaborative environment and demonstrate exceptional bookkeeping expertise.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification in Bookkeeping.
• 5 Years experience as a Bookkeeper.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
• Knowledge of relevant tax requirements.
• Must be able to analyse and prepare financial and narrative reports.
• Intricate understanding of financial processes.
• Experience with Pastel Partner.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare Financial Statements up to Trial Balance for multiple companies, with the potential to include additional companies in the future.
• Manage cashbooks and perform bank reconciliations.
• Oversee inter-company loan accounts.
• Record and maintain journal entries.
• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Process and load payments within the banking system.
• Support various annual audit processes for the companies.
• Handle accounts payable functions.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks.
• Analyse and prepare detailed financial and narrative reports.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage customer account queries effectively.
