    Sales Manager - JHB

    Reporting to the Head of Sales for Africa, as our Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Sales efforts of the team and develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key customers to aid the identification, development and validation of new products and sales opportunities focusing on mining mobile plant business.

    As a strategic and tactical thinker, you will design and implement Regional Plans and Sales and Marketing activities that drive profitable growth and long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. You will also identify, assess and propose earnings accretive and focus on strategic acquisitions in line with the long-term strategic business objectives.

    You will bring in your strong leadership skills to undertake mentoring, training, and capability development for all direct reports, ensuring the team collectively delivers high-quality outcomes.

    You will be an Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration qualified professional who has significant experience in working with Global Product Development Managers to ensure that new products are in line with

    market requirements and that regional Sales and Product Development teams liaise seamlessly in support of business and customer requirements.

    Your experience from within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment will make you a subject matter expert in dealing with potential customer queries while also closely working with the product design & development team to bring about innovation and tailor-made client solutions.

    Key Technical Criteria:

    •  Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent experience are preferred
    •  Experience using Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is preferred.
    •  Sound knowledge of CRM / ERP operating systems preferably Salesforce and Wrike is desirable.
    •  Demonstrated Experience in the management of a Sales function, within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
