Risk Coordinator at Murray & Roberts

Introduction

• Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Risk Coordinator to be placed in Musina,Limpopo. The successful candidate will report to the Safety Manager . The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

•    Effective cost control through efficient risk management practices
•    Competent, disciplined, motivated and positive team
•    Effective self and team management and alignment with MRC Values and leadership initiatives
•    Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflow
•    Effective coordination, implementation and facilitation if risk programmes and processes
•     informed by specific specialisation
•    Effective and regular evaluation of compliance through audits
•    Proactive risk identification and mitigation 

Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

•    Grade 12.
•    NQF level 6 in Safety/ Risk/ Health/ Environment/ Quality/ Hygiene/ Training Management
•    Blasting Certificate (project specific requirement)
•    COMSOC 1 & 2 (essential)
•    COMSOC 3 (advantageous)
•    Specialisation-specific certifications, e.g: TAPROOT, Occupational Health, Risk Management,
•    Valid First Aid Certificate
•    Advanced Accident Investigation Techniques
•    Auditors licence (preferred)
•    Audit certification for ISO 9000, 14000 and 45000 OHSAS 18001 principles
•    Valid EB driver's license

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

•    5 Year’s HSE experience in a mining environment
•    Supervisory experience (preferred)
•    Capable of maintaining ISO & OHSAS Certification
•    Facilitate a Risk Assessment process
•    Understanding of behaviour change safety principles
•    Must have a track record of systems implementation and MAP principles
