Regional Treasury Analyst - Johannesburg at Glencore

OVERVIEW:

• The Regional Treasury function in Africa supports all of Glencore’s Africa operations across commodities for both their marketing and asset divisions. The function is responsible for FX risk management, liquidity management, trade finance, bank facilities/ intercompany funding structures, capital structuring, managing exchange control and local regulatory requirements and managing the relationships of our banks in the region. 
• The Regional Treasury Analyst will support the Regional Treasury function ensuring it meets its key objectives whilst continually searching for opportunities to streamline, optimize, generate efficiencies, and add value to the Group.

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification – Degree qualified / Graduate

• Ability to travel to Glencore operations in Africa.

Work Experience:

• No specific experience required, being a Graduate position.
• Treasury experience advantageous.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Agreeing positions and netting for all FX and Money Market transactions with banks and analyse exceptions.
• Reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis and investigate / report and clear any exceptions.
• Assist in managing bank authorizations and reporting.
• Assist in documenting and implementation of back and middle office treasury policies and procedures.
• Assist in managing loan documentation, preparing utilization requests, reconciling interest calculations, reporting.
• Help develop and prepare various weekly and monthly treasury reports.
• Assist in the preparation of daily cashflow for the Africa business units ensuring its accuracy prior to consolidating and reporting to Group Treasury.
• Support all Treasury projects to ensure the Africa Treasury structure always follows best in class principles.
