Job Description
Regional Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing financial performance in the area as well as directly responsible for the accounting department within the regional office. This includes, but is not limited to; reviewing financial statements, budget & other finance reports (e.g. lockdown forecast, critical date checklist, FD check list, P&P checklist, and management contract compliance), monthly balance sheet reconciliations & supporting other finance operations at assigned hotels in the area.
Co-ordinate with owning company on finance related matters relating to hotels in the area, this includes ensuring full compliance with HMA, clear documentation of owners meetings and timely resolution & action of finance tasks.
Establish strong internal controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets.
Maintaining accurate and timely financial and operating information and provide analysis interpretations and projections.
Taking responsibility for the professional development of all Finance team members. This includes identifying training needs, and supporting the release of team members to attend training or task force assignments. Ensuring performance appraisal process and career development plans are managed to deliver strong financial performance from all finance team members in the area.
Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field & professional accounting qualification
Additional Information
Minimum 5 years experience at managerial level that includes:
Track record of driving hotel finance performance.
Strong technical accounting, finance & taxation skills.
Preparation, review, analysis & presentation of management & statutory reporting.
Extensive Knowledge of hotel internal controls.
Knowledge of budget process.
Team Management, with ability to meet tight deadlines & coach team.
Ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels.
Rebranding/pre-opening experience & having set up and managed a cluster finance operation is an advantage
