    Production Team Leader - Cape Town

    Job Requirements

    •  Min of Matric 
    •  Min 5 years’ experience in production, preferably Food Industry   
    • Technical experience required (min NQF4)
    • Sound knowledge of different machinery & repair thereof 
    • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
    • Computer literacy
    • Good communication skills – Written & Spoken
    • Good Organizational skills

    Key Deliverables

    • Ensure all resources are available to Production leads
    • Active visibility on production floor
    • Ensure Production employees are trained & competent in all production related functions
    • Ensure all food safety requirements are met (maintain system)
    • Update all lost time
    • Ensure reduction in repeated lost time
    • Fault finding & repairing equipment
    • Ensure discipline action is actioned on time & manage misconduct (for example trends)
    • Ensure all people related issues reported by leading hands are dealt with
    • Ensuring Output vs Target is reached daily for production plants
    • Ensuring staff compliment is managed, based on demand
    • Ensure startup times are maintained
    • Completion of  SAP functions 
    • Adhere to all systems Safety & Food safety and ensure it is implemented on the production floor
    • Investigate & correct all near misses & incidents
    • Visibility on floor especially during breakdowns
    • Ensure all equipment is inspected and fit for use post maintenance or service
    • Make sure staff are properly utilized during stoppages (cleaning, training or alternative production)
    • Assisting in trouble shooting 
    • Report on breakdowns
    • Ensure proper shift hand overs
    • Maintain & initiate cost savings 

    Knowledge sharing to improve the team

    • Developing technical skill of teams
    • Innovating thinking to eliminate hazards & improve site continuously

    General tasks

    • Internal auditing
    • Participation in Safety functions
    • Actively participate in Engagement action plans and events
    • Assist operations team with Problem solving

    Food Safety Responsibility

    • Adhere & maintain all food safety standards and systems
    • Guide the team on right first time principle & ensure there is no compromise on food safety rules

    Maintenance Mechanic - Cape Town

    Responsibility and authority:

    • Ensure related site policies are implemented and maintained. 
    • Instruct production personnel on safe and correct use of equipment
    • Stop use of equipment that is faulty or unsafe

    Food Safety responsibility:

    • Adhere to all Food Safety requirements in terms of Personnel practices and Hygiene
    • Follow all handling, storage and processing instruction as per best practices to avoid contamination or deterioration of materials.
    • Ensure all equipment is inspected and fit for use post maintenance or service

    Operational safety requirements:

    • Adhere to all safety instructions, signage and policies
    • Show FELT leadership at all times
    • Conduct all operations in a safe manner as per operational procedures
    • Participate in all safety and emergency drills

    Role requirements

    Operational Deliverables (key tasks):

    • Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections
    • Ensure all maintenance records are completed and maintained
    • Effect planned maintenance as per Maintenance schedule
    • Repair breakdowns and assist in adjusting equipment to achieve standards and efficiencies
    • Support maintenance team with management of spares and stock control
    • Engage with suppliers to source new items and process purchases in SAP
    • Oversee site services e.g. electrical, lighting and back up systems
    • Support the PSM team with Technical input
    • Support PHA team with technical input
    • Manufacturing Capex planning and execution team member, log and track projects in Ecosys
    • Support line managers with project co-ordination on site (Capex and improvements)
    • Assist manufacturing team with problem solving and continuous improvement
    • Assist with non-conformances including process related deviations
    • Conduct first party EHS audits
    • Site Electrical Competency 
    • Site Work at Heights safety representative
    • Site Asset Register maintenance
    • Maintain Technology Packs in terms of PSM programmes
    • Ensure safe operating practices are followed at all times
    • Report on maintenance issues and metrics in weekly and monthly meetings

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • You will manage & measure the Sales Growth Plan & its effectiveness & adjust from time ttime 
    • Preparation, Management & Achievement of annual  Sales & GP Budget, Win Rate, Price Increase
    • Prepare & accountability for the sales & GP budget
    • Prepare & accountability for the win rate target based on CPM numbers
    • Implement fully annual & special price increases using negotiation skills 
    • Preparation, Review & maintenance of Annual Sales Growth Plan
    • Achieve win rate target
    • As a minimum, win rate targets (value & %) of the company should cascade down tAAM level & be met
    • Create, build & maintain strong personal relationships with key personnel at customers & with internal partners
    • Superior external & internal relationships generate superior sales. This is a skill that requires much time & personal dedication
    • Generate a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
    • Constant scanning for new opportunities & projects

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Max. 3 years selling experience in cold calling or similar environment
    • Food Industry is preferred but not required
    • Computer literate: MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint  Internet
