Professional Officer - Management Office - Area Office at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A tertiary qualification within the Built Environment or related field
• Up to 5 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of legislation applicable to Local Government as well as Council policies, processes and procedures would be an advantage
• Computer literate MS office, SAP
• Valid code EB driver’s licence
• Own vehicle preferable

NOTE: Applicants will be required to work outside of normal working hours which could include weekends and public holidays.
Key Performance Areas

• Manages the implementation of the approved capital program for the area
• Manages the implementation of the facilities maintenance programme in the area
• Manages and implements projects in line with supply chain policy
• Provides oversight and contract administration and contract management support to contract managers within the Area
• Advises the area on project management and contract management systems and procedures.
• Providing guidance to the area teams in terms of their compliance with contractor performance, specifications and standards of the maintenance and capital programmes
