Job Description

•  A well established company based in Durban North is looking for a Product co-ordinator with the experience to fulfil a position in co-ordinating from start to finish.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate.
• Tertiary Qualifications advantageous.
• Knowledge of New Product Innovation and Development..
• Intermediate excel knowledge.
• 3 Years relevant experience

Responsibilities

Quality

• Set up and co-ordinate product meetings relating to new updates or any requirements to products.
• Ensure documentation is completed during the Design Meetings.
• Prepare and finalize the Green Seal process with information provided for new and existing products, make sure accurate and completed promptly.
• Document Control – Manage issue and recall Green Seal documents from/to other departments and outsourced companies.
• Ensure Design documents and Green Seal documents are filed on completion.
• Responsible for all Quality Assurance of new products in production.
• Responsible for all Quality Assurance for both new and existing products outsourced.
• Responsible for Quality of outsourced sampling.
• Once off samples to be approved prior to manufacturing.
• All outsourced work to be checked and approved before going onto the line or booked into stock.
• Responsible to arrange the logistics for samples to be received and despatched.
• Source raw materials from local suppliers for sampling and production.
• Courier samples to international suppliers to source raw materials.
• Responsible to communicate and arrange with procurement raw materials required for samples.

Sales

• Initiate and attend new and existing product design and development meetings this includes follow up meetings.
• Co-ordinate making of sampling with factory and be present during sampling production including line production.
• Manage, oversee, and verify that all information collected for the costing of sample are correct and submit costing.
• Maintain accurate costing of all products and verify that the rating/prices used is correct. (Keeping costing current and up to date).
• Update forecast – adding new products and raw materials /amending existing products.
• Work with office administrator to ensure all active product listing are current.
• Work with office administrator to ensure all special customer requirements are current and saved.
