    Process Engineering Lead

    Purpose

    • To lead a team of process engineers and analysts responsible for analysis of projects and processes that will drive the implementation of projects across the business

    Experience and qualifications

    •        Relevant Degree in Informatics or equivalent
    •        Recognized Process Analysis, Optimisation certification or similar
    •        3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior management level
    •        Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred

    Responsibilities

    •        Cost Containment
    •        Identify, control and escalate potential risks which may lead to increased costs
    •        Manage costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies

    •        Identify and act on opportunities to integrate learning and skills development solutions and processes with other specialist practices
    •        Represent franchise as required, at relevant FirstRand operational forums
    •        Process (development / implementation)
    •        Monitor client service reports and align processes to maximise client satisfaction and cost effectiveness
    •        Monitors and evaluates plans, focuses on results and measures attainment of outcomes
    •        Improvements
    •        Innovate by finding the best fit solution for the situation such as the flexibility of delivery and customised solutions which result in more efficient outcomes
    •        Business Process
    •        Process design and enhancements within the business to ensure resource and operational alignment with business strategies and optimise processes to execute business case benefits.
    •        Ensure that process changes are measured so that unit cost calculations and turnaround times are accurate (Time standards calculated)
    •        Operational workflow analysis and design of business processes (business process modelling) to simplify and streamline existing processes.
    •        Perform Root Cause Analysis where we experience process breakdowns and develop counter measures
    •        Identify effective activities to address own development gaps, Create own development plan and review plan with team leader or manager
    •        Understand which competencies and skills are required to be mastered to ensure personal development and performance
    •        Keep abreast of learning opportunities, changing products and trends, Coach to improve performance and develop skills of team members
    •        Motivate and keep team engaged, Coach to discuss career progression
    •        Manage team in respect of recruitment decisions, performance moderation, talent management process, disciplinary action, recognition and retention of employees
    •        Build team succession plans for roles in own area and influence resource planning
    •        Ensure clear contracting and assessment of performance expectations in line with identified objectives and enable a learning and growth culture
    •        Implement people resource planning in line with delivery and performance objectives, within budget and in partnership with specialised areas
    •        Implement talent management practices in line with HR policies and procedures
    •        Provide direction, coaching, and regular feedback to employees to improve performance and implement performance improvement initiatives
    •        Ensure that skills are transferred in specific function Implement employment equity plan
    •        Identify current and future human capital needs ,Ensure relevant resolution of conflict and respond to any complaints or concerns
