Process Controller Treatment- A2 Operator at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

• Reporting to the Process Supervisor Water Purification, the successful candidate will operate and control the chemical dosing and treatment plants.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 / N3 certificate in Water and Waste Water Treatment
• National Diploma in Water Care or equivalent will serve as an advantage
• Eligible to be a class IV Process Controller
• Atleast 2 years’ experience in water purification
• Code B drivers license and the ability to pass RW K53 test

Primary Duties    

• Ensure raw flow into systems correct as per instruction
• Ensure chemical dosing as per set dosing rate received from PQM
• Monitor floc formation and report any deviation to direct supervisor
• Operate lime slakers and associated dosing plant
• Ensure Ph within set standard
• Operate silicate activation and associated dosing plant to ensure effective dosing
• Operate alternative poly electrolyte dosing plant when requested
• Check and receive bulk chemical deliveries meant for area
• Report defects daily to supervisor and follow up on defects
• Good housekeeping and safety in the workplace
