    Planning & Performance Manager: South Africa

    Job purpose:

    Budgeting, Forecasting, Tracking and Monitoring of the People Package for Zone and ZHQ functions. Tracking of Marketing KPIs, FTE and Payroll analysis to improve performance of the Marketing Package. Synergy opportunities tracking and monitoring with Procurement, Rewards and the People teams. Budgeting, Forecasting, Tracking and Monitoring of other ZBB packages in the People Function.

    Key roles and responsibilities

    • Marketing Package annual budgeting which includes the communication of guidelines, with the use of resource allocation tool to the country People Leads and ZBB Managers
    • Final approved budget for ZBB on the Marketing Package to meet the Marketing target and drive synergy
    • Marketing Package monthly tracking and monitoring, to review variances against the budget, risks and opportunities
    • Analysis to support the People country leads and Director in managing costs and identifying opportunities to ensure the budget is delivered
    • Marketing Package monthly forecasting to align with the ZBB timelines and input for the country and BU EBITDA forecasting
    • Forecasting for the P&L and ZBB to ensure that the budget is met and opportunities and risks are communicated timeously
    • Marketing KPI tracking
    • Consolidation and tracking of Marketing KPIs for the Marketing Director to report on in the monthly functional and BU leadership meeting
    • Adhoc projects and analysis
    • Provide analysis and key recommendations based on the project objective and expected outcomes
    • Insights and analysis of performance for forecasting
    • Expected insights on performance to assist leadership team with decision making
    • Find solutions to problems
    • Work across cross functional teams to develop solutions to problems
    • Drive policy compliance
    • Prepare Townhall deck on a monthly basis
    • Prepare Global requests when required
    • Bi-weekly MLT agenda 

    Additional:

    • Implement Zone BU policies, procedures and systems to control and report marketing resource status on a near real-time basis. Identify best practices and standardize processes across all groups.
    • Direct and control the marketing & sales package policies across all business entities. Develop and communicate new policies/revise existing policies as needed.
    • Serve as marketing & sales key contact to provide resolution of issues and control failures, implementation of business and organization changes, identification of mitigating controls, and migration to GHQ's MICS.
    • Develop marketing budget allocations by brand and function, ensuring compliance with Marketing objectives and brand positioning statements; develop and establish procedures and systems to identify and track metrics to provide a basis to evaluate marketing program efficiency and effectiveness (ROI).
    • Adherence to the local and global ZBB policies Role has a great impact in analyzing Marketing Package performance contributing to the Marketing budget. Identification of Risks and Opportunities to be shared with the People Director, Finance Director and BU Presidents. Extrapolating synergy opportunities including follow up of key actions. Decisions on key timelines, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for decisions to be taken by the leadership teams in the BU and functions.

    Profile:

    • A degree and 3 to 5 years experience in the business dealing with Finance and Analytics
    • A Finance degree and experience in Supply or Commercial is desirable
    • Proficient knowledge and experience in PowerPoint and Excel for working on analysis and presentation
    • SAP/Syspro and HFM system knowledge and experience is desirable
    • Proactive, diligent and well organized employee who can interact and communicate with members at all levels
