    Operation Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

    • Providing leadership, direction, and guidance to supervisors,
    • Liaise closely with regional sales team to meet customer expectations and grow the business. Manage customer relationships and technical assistance through customer visits and audits,
    • Generating a highly motivated and committed workforce with an emphasis on the development of skills needed to accomplish safety, quality, on-time delivery, and product cost goals,
    • Proactively implements, promotes, and maintains a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and rule enforcement,
    • Coordinate, leverage, and appropriately utilize resources to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes, meet external and internal customer demands, and ensure business production objectives are achieved,
    • Managing the production capacity planning in line with customer demand,
    • Effectively communicate information (in various types of meetings & settings) of a wide range of performance measures,
    • Driving the company’s vision and mission by reinforcing ethics, values, and quality policies throughout its area of responsibility,
    • Acting as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring, and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Danfoss Business System (DBS) processes and problem-solving tools such as 6S,
    • Promoting a quality culture by demonstrating customer focus and regularly communicating customer feedback to employees to facilitate collaborative problem-solving, drive continuous quality improvement, and ensure alignment/compliance with industry standards,

    The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

    • Bachelor’s degree qualification in either Industrial Engineering or Project Management is preferred for the role,
    • Experience in an Operations role within a technical /hydraulic or engineering industry is essential,
    • Exceptional communication skills with people management experience is required,
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools,
    • Knowledge/experience in SAP is preferred and would be an added advantage,
    • Experience working in a matrix organization with various reporting lines as well as being familiar and dealing with international stakeholders is a must-have,
    • Previous experience having worked on turnkey solutions and various maintenance projects an added advantage,
    • Ability to travel (50%).
