    Money Market Trader - Cape Town

    What You'll Be Doing:

    SAP TRM

    • To effectively utilize the TRM system for maximum benefit in order to ensure all external cash and internal cash placed is accurately recorded.

    EPL Cash Management

    • Manage daily cash position timeously and achieve optimal interest rates to ensure Engen receives the most competitive interest rates from the banks.
    • Manage daily cash position in accordance with policy and LOA thus ensuring no undue 3rd party risk.
    • Ensure cash managed transactions are accurately recorded in SAP TRM system daily in order to avoid unnecessary interest claims.

    IBD Cash Management

    • Determine daily cash balances and advise on the appropriate investment or borrowing strategy in order to ensure interest is optimized.

    Other Offshore Cash Management

    • To Collate, consolidate and report on group cash balances to ensure idle cash is reported and effectively managed in order to optimize the utilization of cash and interest.

    Treasury Administration

    • Ensure accurate recording of money market transactions in the core system in order to reconcile external banking of money market contracts to the core system, this will ensure completeness of money market transactions.

    What You'll Have Done Before:

    Baseline:

    • NQF Level 7 BComm Finance
    • 3 years’ experience in a Treasury environment.
    • Knowledge of economics theory
    • Knowledge of banking operations and settlement processes
    • Good understanding of treasury systems

    Advantageous:

    • ACTSA (Money Market), Banker’s Diploma Licentiate
    • Experience with relevant Treasury SAP modules.
