Brief description

To provide specialised technical expertise and recommendations on Microsoft 365 products and services and provide third level support for Microsoft 365 while ensuring their optimum availability and performance, troubleshooting problem areas in timely and accurate manner.

Detailed description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• To design, configure, test, and deploy Microsoft 365 products and services. 
• To provide maintenance and 3rd level support services on all Microsoft 365 products and services to ensure continued availability and performance of the technologies.
• To troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis related to Microsoft 365 products and services
• To manage technology lifecycle on all Microsoft 365 products and services
• To implement and maintain the governance and security model for the platform as developed by Cyber and Information Security Unit. 
• To proactively monitor and report on Microsoft 365 products and services availability and reliability
• To provide periodic reports on the health, usage, performance, lifecycle status of the platform 
• To develop, maintain and document technical standards, procedures, user guides, SOP’s, instructional documents etc. relating to the Microsoft 365 products and services according to best practice to ensure continuity.
• To collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the functionality of the deployed technologies
• To remediate security vulnerabilities identified on the platform 
• To stay abreast of new development in Microsoft technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

• A minimum of a Diploma (NQF 6) in IT OR equivalent; 
• Microsoft 365 certified: Engineer Speciality; 
• ITIL v3/4 and COBIT 2019; and
• A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in an IT support environment and in managing and administering Microsoft 365 environment.
