Merchandise Assistant – Outdoor at Cape Union Mart

Job Requirements:

• Sample management which includes
• sample requests & follow up,
• sample preparation for reviews & meetings;
• sample handover to online photography & marketing; and
• sample room organization
• Update product lists & reports with correct imagery & information
• Liaising with the marketing department
• Set-up, prep for & assist in meetings
• Administrative duties (Order management, price changes, store comms)
• Sourcing samples from the Buying team, as well as images from suppliers where necessary
• Ensuring samples sourced and stored in Sample Room as per SOPs
• Samples must be carefully monitored and returned to the buying departments
• Central sample tracking sheet to be updated and visible to all on the floor.
• Online Critical Path Management for the division

Experience

• National Diploma or matric certificate is required
• Tertiary qualification in Fashion, retail, ecommerce or in a relevant field preferential
• 2 years’ experience in retail or equivalent role
• A ValidDrivers license is required
• Previous experience in sample management and coordination
• Working knowledge or Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel essential
• Working knowledge of Monday.com preferential
