    Marketing Coordinator

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

    The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the Buying, VM, Sales and Marketing Team, as well as external Suppliers, to ensure all production elements related to the Marketing campaign are executed timeously, accurately, within the specified budget and within the confirmed business processes..

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Coordinating Campaigns

    • Brief and manage jobs on RMS system (internal briefing software system)

    • Liaise with internal and external partners/suppliers to ensure all marketing material is produced, printed and delivered according to the Timing Plan.

    • Manage samples and all sample-related administration

    • Create and send purchase orders for all jobs

    • Create printing DIs for all marketing material

    • Brief and check instructions to stores on VM

    • Coordinate internal and external events 

    • Managing meetings and diaries

    • Collating Creative

    • Save and share all final Marketing material internally 

    • Collate presentations and reports showcasing campaign creative and results 

    • Conduct monthly and ad hoc store visits for input into Post Campaign Analysis (eg. store windows, competitor activity etc) 

    • Facilitate Competition Process

    • Ensure that prizes and vouchers are loaded and distributed

    • Ensure that Terms and Conditions are created and loaded onto the website

    • Selecting, verifying and contacting winners

     

     

    • Digital

    • Creative and effective digital copywriting and/or proof reading

    • Ensure content calendar is populated and updated in order to brief media agency

    • Monitor and escalate customer feedback to community management team

    • PR

    • Build and maintain relationships with publishers and mall marketing management

    • Send weekly and monthly communication to all partners

    • Renaming and sending high res images for editorial briefs

    • Special event activations and projects

    • Administration

    • Google Drive filing of all campaign related material and documentation 

    • Compile Creative Review files and presentations

    • Invoice capturing and liaising with finance where required, before monthly cut-off date

    • Minutes of meetings

     

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

    • Bachelor’s degree/diploma

    • A minimum of 2 years of brand / marketing experience

    • Experience and understanding of the retail environment and a feel for décor, trends and the retail market advantageous

    • A minimum of 2 years experience in compiling reports and presentations

    • Strong administration, planning, organising and coordination skills

    • Computer Literacy (MS Office and Google Suite)

    • Competence on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok)

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Able to work in a team and deliver to team objectives

    • Good organisational and interpersonal skills

    • High degree of detail orientation and conscientiousness

    • Problem solving ability

    • Resilience and emotional maturity

    • Relationship/networking skills

    • Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
