    Manager: Product Management

    Core Description    
    Responsible for managing the product portfolio, including gap analysis, development, product enhancement, execution and reporting for Telkom Consumer (Consumer and Small Business Mobile & Fixed) including interactions with SMBS/BCX for business mobile solutions. Responsibilities include financial and market share performance of Mobile Data/ Voice products through the effective and efficient management of the elements of the marketing mix. Responsible for the Product Life Cycle from Launch to Retirement stage. Monitor Product performance and identify Performance Gaps.

    Job Responsibilities    
    - Manage the product portfolio as well as Specialist(s) in the portfolio reporting to the Manager: Product Management
    - Conduct marketing and competitive research
    - Compile new product concepts
    - Compile Business Case for new products or product enhancements
    - Compile Product Description
    - Prepare marketing briefs and training content
    - Manage the new product introduction process end to end
    - Manage the Go to Market plan
    - Manage the technical implementation of new products and product enhancements
    - Ensure operational readiness of products
    - Manage the product lifecycle and produce Management Reports
    Required Certification    
    None
    Qualifications    

    • Relevant 3 year Degree/ Diploma (at least NQF level 6), preferably in Marketing

    Experience    

    • 5 years product management experience, in a Telecoms or IT related field

    Special Requirements    

    • Valid driver's license
    • Willing to work long hours
