    Manager: Finance

    CENTRE: La Mercy
    REFERENCE: FM 01/24

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • The ideal candidate must be in possession of an Honour’s degree in Financial Management, Accounting or any other relevant qualification (SAQA NQF8). 
    • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in financial management with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting, 4 years of which should be at management level within the public sector. 
    • A Valid Driver’s License.
    • A CA(SA) or a relevant Master’s degree would be an added advantage.

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
    The successful candidate must have: 

    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills. 
    • Good organisational and planning skills. 
    • Adaptability and flexibility.
    • Good analysis and problem-solving skills. 
    • Sound judgement and decision-making 
    • Ability to work independently and accurately. 
    • The ability to facilitate teamwork. 
    • The ability to delegate effec- tively. 
    • The ability to maintain change and conflict. 
    • Results, customer and quality focus. 
    • Technical and professional knowledge skills. 
    • Computer literacy skills at an advanced level (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and financial software). 
    • Working knowledge of Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations. 
    • Knowledge of Generally Recognised Accounting Principles (GRAP). 
    • Registered with SAICA, SAIPA, SAIBA, CIMA or other related accounting bodies (accredited and recognised).

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The successful candidate will be required to manage and coordinate the Moses Kotane Research Institute (MKRI) budget.

    • Financial reporting.
    • Management of payroll and benefits 
    • Supply Chain Management. 
    • Asset Management.
    • Management of sub-unit reports. 
    • Management of unit reports. 
    • People and Financial Management within the unit.
