Ledger and Cashbook Clerk - Pretoria at Tiger Brands

Main Job Objective

• The collection, processing, analysis and storage of information to enable management to make informed decisions. Ensure that accurate financial records are available and the provision of timeous, accurate financial information. Accounts to Trial Balance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• General Ledger data input control (Journals)
• Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts (Including Company Bank Account)
• Petty Cash control
• Daily balancing of accounts
• Reconciliation of stock movements
• Preparation of weekly and monthly journals
• Preparation of monthly accounts and trial balance
• Preparation of monthly schedules and reports
• Monthly confirmation of Inter Company balances
• Manage office stationery and other requirements

 
QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 or equivalent. A Tertiary qualification will be an advantage
• Min 2 to 5 years relevant experience 
• Previous experience of the following will be a strong recommendation: Fixed Assets, Recons, Creditors, Debtors, Inter Company accounts, Stock)
• Computer literate (Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint). Knowledge of Mosaic & Smartstream will be an advantage
• Ability to work overtime when necessary
