Intern - Field Service Engineer - Pietermaritzburg at Gijima

Job Description

Gijima is recruiting 1 x Field Service Engineer Intern in Pietermaritzburg.   The intern will assist in providing and maintaining end user desktop and peripheral support, support various makes and models of Card Readers.  CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN PIETERMARITZBURG.
The criteria is as follows:-

• Candidates must have completed a 3 year Degree, National Diploma, Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6)
• CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+, Windows 10 will be an added advantage
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certification and relevant OEM Certifications will be an added advantage
• Clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record;
• Candidates must currently be unemployed;
• Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program;
• Candidates must have effective communication in written and verbal English;
• Candidates must live in the Pietermaritzburg area
• Candidates must be under the age of 35 as at 1 July 2024;
• Candidates must be a South African Citizen – African, Coloured, Indian

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for application and maintenance of assigned equipment
• End User Support – resolve logged incidents as per client contract and within SLA
• Deliver customer service
• Quality incident resolution
• Preventative maintenance
• Pre-installation audits
