    Intern (40 hours per week) (contract appointment: 1 year)Bloemfontein Campus (4 positions) and South Campus (1 position) Central Academic Advising

    Duties and responsibilities:

    •     Answer and make outbound calls/messages and emails to students via the academic advising communication channels to offer relevant support (i.e. Graduation Positioning Support contact centre).
    •     Support the Central Advising team in the execution of First Year and Senior student specific orientation and registration focused advising support.
    •     Support the Central Advising team with administrative and logistical support related to advising training, development and project initiatives.
    •     Present student support workshops in residences and other student support engagements
    •     Compile/capture advising related data (i.e. evaluations/attendance registers, case management) database of advising initiatives.
    •     Distribute, and collect/capture evaluation related documentation related to advising initiatives (qualitative and quantitative research/data capturing and analyses).
    •     Contribute to the research, and conceptualisation/refinement of academic advising resources and content for advising support initiatives.
    •     Develop, deliver/present group advising initiatives (i.e. workshops)

    Inherent Job Requirements:

    •     A relevant B-degree on NQF level 7 with Psychology / Industrial Psychology specialisation up to third-year level.
    •     One year experience in student leadership (incl. tutoring / mentoring / academic facilitation)
