Information Security Analyst III at Nedbank

Job Purpose

• To provide expert advice on complex aspects of information security within their fields of expertise.
• To identify and resolve complex technical issues related to security technologies.
• To collaboratively perform in-depth analysis with stakeholders on complex information security issues and provide optimum solutions which meet both business and technical requirements while aligning with the information security strategy.
• To analyse and enhance information security related processes with the aim to optimise work within the sphere of Information Security in its entirety. Working independently to deliver on work tasks. Pro-actively mentor staff.
• To ensure stability and up-time for areas the incumbent takes responsibility for; which also requires being available on demand to help solve issues outside of normal working hours

Critical Skills

• Secure and build of cloud environments, including service enablement and design and implementation
• Support of Cloud services and Security services
• Threat detection and response using existing security tool sets
• Entra ID including Conditional Access (Support)
• Enagae with Application development teams to assist in deployment and implementation of required services.

Job Responsibilities

• Good knowledge covering AWS and Azure services
• Good knowledge Serverless Cloud offerings
• Experience with in-depth knowledge on Sentinel.
• Power shell knowledge
• KQL knowledge
• Basic Python knowledge
• Windows server and services knowledge
• Understanding of regular expresssion
• Understanding of Privacy legislation and regulation.
• In-depth knowledge on Firewal and Web Application Firewall
• Knowledge and experience in the implementing and securing of Generative AI solution.
• In-depth knowledge on Dev-Ops/ DevSecOps enablement and operationalisation.
• Knowledge on all network services including ACL’s and load balancing and edge protection services.
• Good understand of application development methodologies, tool-sets and languages (C# Python)
• Understand and ability to enable identity and Access Management Services in the cloud
• Good understand of Current threat land scape for Cloud and SaaS environments
• Proficient in mobile technology with expertise in deploying services that enhance mobile access and functionality.
• Experience in creation of application and infrastructure centric low-level designs.
• Capable of identifying security vulnerabilities within an environment and implementing robust security measures to neutralize potential threats

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

• Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Minimum Experience Level

• 10- 15 years experience in an IT environment of which at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Exposure with large scale networking and security cloud focused projects.
• Experienced in working with large cross functional teams.
• Experienced in working in high pressure demanding environments.
