    Human Resources Coordinator

    POSITION SUMMARY

    • Directly reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the HR Coordinator supports and coordinates talent acquisition, industrial relations onboarding activities, champions the HR filing and administration, acts as HR contact for the company and is responsible for maintaining detailed employee data and records in accordance with local law and Marriott International policies and procedures. 

    Your typical day includes:

    • End-to-end operational human resources and associate support
    • First point of contact for all associate-related matters
    • Ensure HR systems are kept up to date with the latest associate information/software
    • Carry out end to end recruitment process including drafting job postings, posting opportunities on internal and external recruitment sites, screening CVs, liaising with candidates, setting up and conducting interviews as well as pre-employment verification checks.
    • Preparing new starter payroll packs for payroll 
    • Daily associate transport submission
    • Assist in coordinating company orientation for new associates
    • Coordinate the completion of organization charts
    • Assist in the drafting, management, and administration of policies, programs, and guidelines
    • Participate in Associate Wellbeing and CSI initiatives, driving a people first culture in collaboration with the Takecare Committee
    • Support the HR Team in any ad-hoc and special projects                          

    What we expect from you:

    • Tertiary completed qualification in human resources
    • 1-2 Year HR Generalist experience
    • Passion for associates with a high social competence
    • Responsibility, empathy, thorough work, and a trustworthy demeanor
    • Good understanding of South African labour legislation (i.e. LRA,BCEA,EEA,SDA)
    • Strong planning, organizing and administrative skills
    • Effective business partnering with stakeholder/management and associates
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft packages essential
    • Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and email etiquette
    • People oriented and results driven
    • Ability to work without supervision and meet deadlines
