    HR Generalist (Senior)

    Key Purpose

    To partner with line managers to drive business results through people enablement via recruitment, development, engagement and retention of top talent to contribute towards delivery of the division and the Group’s strategic ambition and ensuring alignment with the implementation of all People initiatives.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Administer the end-to-end recruitment process for the teams supported.
    • Writing and compiling job profiles where necessary.
    • Tracking the onboarding process.
    • Booking new staff on induction and liaising with trainers.
    • Implement specific project activities as determined through the HR planning process.
    • Report on key people drivers, proactively highlight key trends, risks and recommend action plans.
    • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services performed.
    • Act as a liaison between the business unit and centre of excellence to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal stakeholder needs.
    • Assisting with driving employee engagement through proactive Stay and Exit interviews and providing feedback analysis.
    • Provide SmartPeople support to the areas that are supported by the team.
    • Maintain the employment records on the HR system.
    • Database management and statistical HR analysis.
    • Contribute and execute people initiatives as per the strategic objectives and ad hoc projects.
    • Identifying potential challenges in the processes and recommending solutions.  
    • Assisting with HR related projects and compilation of ad hoc reports as requested.
    • Providing IR support in relation to the execution of employee disciplinary actions.
    • Ad Hoc projects.

    Qualification

    • Matric (Essential)
    • Human Resources qualification (min 3 years)

    Experience

    • 3+yrs experience in a similar role

    Knowledge

    • HR Policies, procedures and best practice
    • Employment Equity and Transformation
    • Labour Law
