    Head of Creative: Copywriting

    You Bring:

    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Diploma/Degree in Copywriting.
    • A strong portfolio of work showcasing a range of campaigns, conceptual ability, and copywriting craft.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an advertising agency or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Managerial or Supervisory role.

    What You’ll Do For The Brand:

    • Work closely with the creative heads to develop and execute creative copy that meet client objectives and drive business results.
    • Lead the development of creative copy concepts that communicate with a target audience within the scope of the brand and the creative brief supplied.
    • Collaborate with the creative teams to ensure that copy and visuals work together seamlessly to create powerful advertising campaigns.
    • Strong understanding of the development of impactful and effective copy for a variety of channels including but not limited to Print, Digital, Social Media, TV, Radio and Podcasts.
    • Have a meticulous eye for detail.
    • Direct and contribute to brainstorming sessions, bringing fresh ideas, concepts and insights to the table.
    • Present creative work to clients and stakeholders, articulating the thinking and strategy behind each concept.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for editing/proofreading and quality assurance.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior writers, offering constructive feedback and helping them grow their skills and abilities.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to ensure that our work remains fresh, innovative, and effective.
    • Work with the various marketing teams to produce new and innovative copy for company branding, promotional campaigns and marketing communications.
    • Pedantic about deadlines and excellent time management skills.
    • Be self-motivated and show initiative but also able to follow guidance.
    • Very organized and the ability to plan or schedule priorities.
    • Multi-tasking various brands at once.
    • Be an inspiration to the team while providing them with mentorship and career development.
    • Evaluate trends, assess new data and keep up-to-date with the latest copywriting techniques.
    • Ensure proper workflow and integrated output through coordinating between the Creative copy team and other departments.
    • Ensure campaign visuals and accompanying copy produce powerful messages that are on-brand, consistent and impactful.
    • Ensure that copy is fresh, future-forward and brand relevant.
    • Supervise the department's daily workflow, assign project workload, and monitor deadlines and budgets. Also reports on completed work.
    • Ensure work is delivered to brief and on time.
    • Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and tight schedules.
    • Partner with Strategy and Business Directors to ensure that projects are delivered to strategy and to high standards of quality and creativity.
    • Conflict Resolution and Creative Problem Solving: anticipate potential project problems and create possible solutions and contingency plans.
    • Shape brand standards and create procedures to ensure all copy is brand appropriate.
    • Be able to work late and travel when required.
    • Attending various company events.
    • Conducting interviews for new hires to the Creative Copy Team.
    • Developing Brand Guide (CI for various entities).
    • Ad hoc duties as required.
