    Contractor Manager: Advertising & Digital Marketing

    KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Advertising & Digital Marketing, the incumbent of this position will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Marketing Division to support Marketing Communications functions for a wide portfolio of Toyota and related products, with specific focus on end-to-end campaign management to support product introductions.
    • This role requires a candidate that can seamlessly manage projects from inception to the post-review stage and is able to foster relations with key suppliers and agencies in order to execute campaigns successfully. Sound product knowledge of the Toyota range is essential, as well as insight into marketing trends, competitor activity, and various media landscapes.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Management and oversight of 360-degree marketing campaigns in support of new product introductions, product upgrades, and brand initiatives;
    • On-going relationship-building with key agency suppliers and cross-functional departments;
    • Create and deliver concise and thorough briefs to agencies for all upcoming campaigns;
    • Provide input on the communications strategies and creative concepts developed by agencies to steer work in the right direction;
    • Prepare and manage campaign budgets, while remaining cost-conscious of how budget is spent;
    • Facilitate the creation of a wide variety of content required to support campaigns, including Above-The-Line (ATL), Below-The-Line (BTL), Dealer, Social, and Digital elements;
    • Manage the logistics and preparations required for content production;
    • Ongoing review of all content created for campaigns, to ensure that these align with marketing strategies, provide accurate information, and appeals to the correct target audience;
    • Evaluation of media proposals to make recommendations;
    • Develop a detailed understanding of product specifications, tech & features to communicate these effectively in marketing content;
    • Coordination of meetings and review sessions between agencies and key TSAM members to get input and approval on campaign elements;
    • Participate in cross-functional discussions with other TSAM business units to contribute towards the overall success of product launches;
    • Work closely with product planning divisions, other marketing units, and global counterparts to source content in support of campaign development;
    • Assess performance of campaigns using post-review data to implement learnings in future activities;
    • Critically assess the performance of agencies to deliver on briefs, and effectively manage resources and timelines to ensure all deadlines are met;
    • Provide constant feedback and updates to TSAM management on campaign developments and performance.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • NQF Level 6 (360 credits - 8 level framework) in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related fields
    • Marketing & Advertising Experience
    • Relevant motor industry experience & sound product knowledge is advantageous
    • Experience in short & long-term project management is essential
    • PC Literacy (MS Office package) & Microsoft Teams familiarity
