Group Tax Manager: Africa at Aspen Pharma Group

POSITION OVERVIEW

• The environment in which these businesses operate are complex and subject to ongoing challenge and change as the company beds down its presence in Europe in addition to be exposed to constant changes in legislation and audits in the region. The Group Tax Manager Africa role takes care of tax affairs of approximately one third of the Group’s tax presence.
• The successful incumbent will work with the team of tax specialists, technology specialists, colleagues, and business to implement that strategy in the region.

ROLE PURPOSE

• To provide support to the Group Tax Executive by controlling the tax affairs, including providing advice, of individual companies in the assign region ensuring that the Group meets its tax obligations.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• B. Com Hons (Taxation) or B. Com plus a Higher Diploma in Tax
• Master’s in International Tax or similar qualification an advantage
• CA (SA an advantage

OVERALL EXPERIENCE

• +10yrs experience in an international tax consulting role, or in the commercial environment.
• Work-specific skills & exposure
• Ability to lead a team of skilled tax specialists
