    Fluidlink Engineer - Westville

    Purpose of the Job

    • Manage the interface between Engen, Fluidlink APM customers and the third-party service providers to maximize return on investments and customer satisfaction including compliance to Engen standards. Upsell of Fluidlink advanced offerings to Existing customers and onboard new Fluidlink APM customers. Grow the Lubricants volumes through the onboarding of new Fluidlink customers.

    What you’ll have done before:
    Baseline:

    • Diploma Mechanical Engineering NQF 7/Mechanical Trade Tested Artisan.
    • 5 years’ experience in the Tribology or Reliability disciplines.
    • Mechanical Engineering/Maintenance Experience

    Advantageous:

    • Certified Tribologist / SAIT
    • Certified Predictive Maintenance Strategies
    • Certified Project Management
    • SAMTRAC (Supervisory course)
    • Total Fluid Management experience
    • Sales & Marketing Experience
    • Knowledge of the Lubes Value Chain
    • RCFA
    • 3rd Party Contractor Management Experience

    What you’ll be doing
    FINANCE MANAGEMENT:

    •     Develop/present annual Fluidlink CAPEX/OPEX business plan/budget.
    •     Manage profit levers to improve profitability including gross margin, cost to serve, service fee and wholesale list price.
    •     Improved operational efficiency: Manpower utilization on site.
    •     Determine (in conjunction with manager) and maximise Fluidlink profit: service fee and basket of products sold.

    BUSINESS SUPPORT:

    •     Provide input into the annual Fluidlink business plan aligned to the Lubricant strategy.
    •     Provide input into bi-annual service fee, product volume and inventory forecast
    •     Collaborate with internal stakeholders which promotes the development of the sales thrusts for a specific Lubricants account including service fee income.
    •     Provide input into the recommendation of future resourcing requirements for service providers.
    •     Conduct regular review of progress of each of the Fluidlink APM accounts, including service providers and implement corrective action where necessary 
    •     Ensure the consistent application of Engen's Fluidlink standards and policies

    PROFIT MANAGEMENT:

    •     Manage profit levers to improve profitability including gross margin, cost to serve, service fee and wholesale list price
    •     Improved operational efficiency: Manpower utilization on site 
    •     Determine (in conjunction with manager) and maximise Fluidlink profit: service fee and basket of products sold
    •     Ensure acquisition of new business through tenders and partnerships processes.

    CUSTOMER AND SERVICE PROVIDER INTERFACE:

    •     Engage Internal customers and stakeholders SLA i.e. Supply Chain, Marketing, Technical, HSEQ, CSC
    •     Ensure service provider compliance to SLA's
    •     Manages customer/service provider relationship 
    •     Comply with local by-laws and engineering standards
    •     Support innovation (new products & solutions)
    •     Build long term relationships with key Industrial & Mining customers.

    HSEQ COMPLIANCE:

    • Support and onboard a systematic approach to a generative HSEQ Culture.
    •     Communicate HSEQ procedures
    •     Enforce compliance and provide input to HSEQ policies and procedures
    •     Model HSEQ values
    •     Ensure adherence to Customer HSEQ Procedures
    •     Ensure service provider HSEQ compliance
    •     Effect compliance to audit processes and procedures 
    •     Close out audit findings
