Fitter - Witbank at Fraser Alexander (Pty) Ltd.

PURPOSE

• This position exists to ensure safe installation and maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment i e crusher/gearboxes/pumps etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Health and safety

• Display safety conduct at all times by wearing the correct PPE.
• Attend pre shift meetings.
• Report unsafe conditions and behaviour
• Adhere to FA and client policies and procedures.
• Always behave safe.

Maintenance

• Implement maintenance schedules.
• Maintains\repairs all mechanical equipment (pumps/screens/crushers/gear boxes etc.
• Conduct plant inspection on all key mechanical equipment
• Identifies and priorities equipment in need of maintenance/repairs.
• Plans down time for repairs/maintenance.
• Plans for material and men to assist.
• Do risk assessment/study procedures.
• Do repairs/maintenance.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric/N3 with maths and science
• Red seal, fitting or fitting and turning.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years’ experience experience as a Fitter
• 2 years Learnership/Apprentice in Mining or Construction
• Basic exposure to maintenance of general plant equipment (Strong and divers machining ability is a requirement)

• Valid Driver's license
