    Finance Sr Analyst

    The main purpose of the role is to support the delivery of positive Net Revenue Realization (NRR) and fuel the BU P&L through pricing, pack-price, mix management and trade spend initiatives across all UAE & Gulf (Bev & Foods) markets. You will analyse key Revenue Management (RM) initiatives with clear implications for PEP and bottler profitability as well as impact on volume and share. This role partners closely with Foods Sales, Franchise, Category, Finance and bottler teams to ensure successful execution and follow-up on planned RM initiatives – as well as course correct emerging issues.

    Responsibilities

    Key accountabilities for the role include:

    • Support the delivery of RM agenda across all UAE & Gulf (Bev & Foods) markets, (including but not limited to AOP and PSP and adhoc asks), leveraging pricing, pack-price, mix management and trade spend optimization to identify, quantify and align RM opportunities with foods team, bottlers and CU leadership to drive NR growth and deliver on NRR and VC/NR targets. 

    Beverages

    • Pack Price Scenarios: Assist RM Manager in developing pack-price scenarios with clear implications for PEP and Bottler profitability as well as impact on Volume and Share in the following (but not limit to) situations:
    • Excise Tax and VAT implementation in UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar & Kuwait
    • Macro-economic changes that impact system profitability (currency devaluation, inflation, etc.) for example Sudan, Algeria, Morocco, Iraq.
    • Tracking of Pack performance: Interact with Franchise & Cluster planning for monthly track and analyse Pep & Competitor pack volume, pack NWSP, pack channel performance in key markets to identify trend and propose suitable actions on improving NWSP, optimizing mix, and differentiate pack line up by channel.
    • Bottler RM Capability: Contribute actively drive the Bottler RM capability by implementing the NRM Tools and evaluating the process basis set KPIs
    • Governance: Report Pre/Post RM initiatives analysis and Project evaluations as required. Plan and facilitate periodic BU Pricing Councils to track performance of pricing and RM initiatives. Partner with Finance (especially impacted Cluster Planning Managers and ensure loop closure and reconciliation of numbers) and Franchise Teams to ensure that robust actionable RM initiatives are built into AOP and PSP submissions.

    Foods

    • Pack Price Scenarios: Assist RM Manager in developing pack-price scenarios to drive incremental NR with clear implications on Foods P&L, as well as impact on Volume and Share.
    • Pack Performance & Mix Management : Interact with Foods Sales, Finance team for monthly track and analyse Pep & Competitor pack volume & value, pack channel performance in key markets to identify trend and propose suitable actions on improving NR, optimizing mix, and differentiate pack line up by channel.
    • Promotion Effectiveness: Work closely with sales & finance team to build a strong plan/track/review process for driving trade spends optimization across channels and identify actions to improve ROI, optimize trade investments
    • RM Capability: Regularly participate in Global & Sector community calls to learn best practices and trends in other developed markets
    • Governance: Report Pre/Post RM initiatives analysis and Project evaluations as required. Plan and facilitate periodic BU Pricing Councils to track performance of pricing and RM initiatives. Partner with Finance and Franchise Teams to ensure that robust actionable RM initiatives are built into AOP and PSP submissions

    Qualifications

    Key Skills/Experience Required:
    Educational Credentials

    •  University degree (BA) or equivalent 

    Work Experience 

    •  Min. 5 years’ experience in commercial, finance or consulting
    • Min. 2 years’ experience from FMCG sector
    •  Understanding of Beverage FOBO and COBO business 
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong Sales, Marketing and Finance understanding


    Language Skills           

    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing;
    • Proficiency English

    Computer Skills                

    • Power user in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong Excel modelling skills

    Other Skills and Abilities               

    • Ability to effectively work in multi-national, multi-location team
    • Ability to partner with cross functional stakeholder to drive the agenda
