    Finance Operations Analyst (Oil) - JHB

    PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify all Service Provider invoices received against the cost booked in the ETRM system. 
    • Validate all Service Provider invoices submitted by the and the logistics team against supporting documents completing all checks.
    • Follow up on un-invoiced deliveries or services.
    • Report on overdue invoices.
    • Store and archive invoices and supporting documentation.
    • Co-ordinate weekly payment runs.
    • Follow up on counterparty queries.
    • Automate financial operations activities to ensure straight through processing to the general ledger.
    • In collaboration with other financial operations teams, identify and implement financial operations best practice including processes and internal controls.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management.
    • Advantageous to demonstrate post qualification studies or soft skills development and ability to work with systems.

    WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • 1 to 4 years relevant experience including experience of commodity trading invoicing and settlement or accounts payable.
    • Working knowledge of commodity systems and invoicing to ERP integration.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills that work effectively within team and different audiences.
    • Adaptable, dynamic, and organized with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
    • Interacts well within a team and actively manage expectations.
    • Take initiative in resolving issues in a structured methodical manner.
    • Have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
    • High level of attention to detail, in a fast-moving environment.
    • Deliverable and service orientated.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel.
