    Field Service Technician Intern Graduate

    What will you be doing?

    • The role forms part of the Service Division and in this internship, you will work directly with the team to provide technical support to customer base allowing customers to experience optimal benefit of Smith & Nephew technologies.

    What will you need to be successful?

    • To study and finish the learning modules on SNN’s surgical video.
    • Study and finish the learning modules on associated technologies.
    • Understand all IFU instructions for SNN equipment!
    • Have understanding and knowledge of typical wiring diagrams, inputs and outputs related to SNN tower.
    • Practice all supported sterilization modes as applicable.
    • Conduct basic trouble-shooting and In-service checks.
    • Align with SOPs on: Service, Product complaint and product Recall.
    • Complete CRICE clinical practice modules
    • Assist regional clinical engineers and local sales representatives as required.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and ability to master key internal and external contacts.
    • Demonstrating specialist knowledge of Smith & Nephew surgical imaging systems and all associated technologies on the Camera Tower/stack.
    • Demonstrating competence in delivering customized camera system set-ups for each of end-user surgical disciplines of Arthroscopy, Laparoscopy, ENT, Urology, GYN, etc
    • Applying compliance: Understand and be familiar with Industry code standards for company representatives in the clinical environment including hospital protocols for receiving and handling equipment.

    Successful candidates would need the following:

    • Matric Qualification
    • Degree or National Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Clinical Engineering
    • Completed P1 (Practical Session 1)
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Own Vehicle
