This position reports to the Engineering Director (Infrastructure)

As an Infrastructure Team Lead you will lead a team of Systems Administrators, Network Engineers and Operational Analysts who look after all internal infrastructure ranging from all internal systems, all networking and 3rd line technical support for Customer Service.

• Lead a team of Infrastructure specialists
• Managing, mentoring, and coaching members of the team
• Executing on projects, delivering on commitments
• Support a 24x7 production environment, as well as office, development and test environments
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Collaborate internally to design a scalable and supportable architecture
• Experience with the following technologies and services:
• Virtualisation (Xen, VMWare)
• Linux (Ubuntu/Debian)
• Windows Server 2008, 2012
• Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet)
• Database Operations (MySQL, PostGreSQL)
• Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google)
• Task/Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack)
• Google Workspace (G-Suite)
• Monitoring Systems (Zabbix, Sensu, Grafana)
• Capacity Planning
• Monitor and trend all aspects of the infrastructure platform
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Bring innovative ideas and technologies to the organization
• Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
• Coordinate and manage vendor tasks and deliverables

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma with a technical major (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering) and a minimum of 7 years experience in the IT Infrastructure field, 2 years of which should be with experience in leading an Infrastructure Team.
• In the event that a candidate does not have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Diploma (in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering), an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT Infrastructure field, 2 years of which should be with experience in leading an IT Infrastructure Team.
• Industry certifications preferred (i.e. LPI, MCSE, VCP, CCNA, N+)
• Functional knowledge of web-based ecommerce technologies
