    Director of Sales - South Africa

    Key Responsibilities:

    Team Building and Leadership:

    • Recruit, train, and lead a dynamic sales team, including New Business Sales, Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and Sales Support staff.
    • Set clear performance goals and provide regular coaching and feedback to ensure team members meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.

    Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and market trends.
    • Collaborate with senior management to define sales objectives and set achievable targets.

    Sales Execution and Performance Management:

    • Oversee the sales process, from lead generation and pipeline management to negotiation and closing deals.
    • Monitor and analyze sales metrics and KPIs to track team performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare regular sales reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for growth.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
    • Address customer needs and concerns promptly and effectively to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer base.

    Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute lead generation campaigns and sales materials.
    • Coordinate with the product development team to provide market feedback and drive product enhancements.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and sales compensation plans.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in [Your Industry].
    • Proven success in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of developing top sales talent.
    • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
    • Ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
