    Artisan Gr1 Diesel Mechanic

    Purpose of Job

    • To observe operation of automotive machines and verify conformance to specifications and quality standards to meet production targets.

    Engineer I Reliability

    Purpose of Job

    • A Reliability Engineer I will apply Asset Management principles to enable the safe and cost-effective utilisation of assets throughout their life cycle in the Sasol Sasolburg Operations  areas.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    Business Results: 

    • Analyse reliability metrics, and utilise competencies as a reliability engineer to drive continuous improvement within the business Perform inherent risk analysis on equipment and utilise outcomes of reliability studies to inform maintenance and capital decisions within the business Assist with the justification of critical spares holding, and assess optimal maintenance interventions through product life-cycle costing (LCC) analysis using the Salvo DST (or similar) software Use Risk Based Inspection (RBI) outcomes for pressure equipment, critical tanks, and major hazardous installations (MHI) and through facilitated contact sessions for electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and rotating equipment, to indicate at risk and end-of-life equipment, in order to inform renewal or repair decisions of equipment Develop Equipment Maintenance Strategies (EMS) and implement through the application of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Perform Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and lead the review as facilitator on pressure vessels, critical tanks, and major hazardous installations (MHI) Perform a facilitator and reporting role in Deviation Management (DM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Utilise SAP or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) functionality and related sources of data to be used in reliability, failure, and data analysis as well as the reporting of bad actor equipment Perform Integrity studies to identify the cause of bad actor equipment and recommend possible solutions to improve performance Integrate the outcome of Operate within Agreed Parameter (OWAP) monitoring initiatives by all engineering disciplines in support of managing the risk of equipment failure on operations
