    Commercial Manager

    Job Description

    Role purpose:

    Commercial and account management of key accounts.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Commercial management of key accounts to track profitability per customer.
    • Account management of key accounts to ensure trust, delivery, and successful relationships.
    • Client activist to proactively represent, identify and solve any client requirements or issues.
    • Develop and present customer proposals including financials.
    • Develop a pipeline of opportunities and keep updated in CRM.
    • Develop business cases as well as track and analyze existing business cases per client.
    • Acquire a deep understanding of the customer business to best satisfy their needs.
    • Acquire research and source data from the market to analyze and provide feedback to executives based on competitive and customer trends.
    • Proactively engage the business, customers, and the market as a whole to identify and present innovative commercial ideas to the TowerCo Executive.

    Ideally you should possess the following:

    • Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
    • A relevant 3-year Degree/diploma is essential.
    • 8 years + of commercial management experience. 
    • Expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • South African Telecommunications industry experience (preferably wireless).
    • CRM experience.
    • Strong communication skills – ability to engage and present at C level.
    • Problem-solving skills, able to navigate through difficult negotiations, including business and financial acumen.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distill complex technical concepts into simple terms, with strong persuasion skills to gain support for principles, standards, and change.
    • Excellent relationship-building, teamwork, and collaboration skills that enable the provision of effective support and guidance across programs.
    • Proven track record on key outputs/disciplines.
