    Commercial Analyst

    Job Description

    This role is integral to ensuring smooth financial operations through close collaboration with Operations, Sales, and Finance teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the invoicing process and ensuring the accurate application of credits to client accounts. Postion is based in Durban North.

    You will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel, is essential for this role.

    Key responsibilities include reviewing work tickets for invoicing accuracy, coordinating with Sales for optimal outcomes, and collaborating with Estimating and Production teams to streamline cost analysis.

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant Tertiary qualification
    • CIMA Qualified (Preferred)

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • 2-3 years of Finance or Commercial experience in a medium to large manufacturing company
    • At least 1 year of Financial & Analytics experience
    • Understanding of accounting principles and International Financial reporting standards (IFRS) are advantageous
    • Understanding and knowledge of Exports
    • Ability to interpret and interact with financial systems
    • Microsoft – advanced level (Excel & Word)

    Key Result Areas:

    • Review Work Tickets for Invoicing: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and cutoff of details such as client codes, purchase orders, and costings.
    • Invoice Pack Review: Ensure completeness of detailed invoice packs, including delivery notes.
    • Collaboration with Sales: Coordinate on jobs, campaigns, and cross-border projects.
    • Collaboration with Estimating and Production: Streamline cost vs estimate reports.
    • System Administration: Collaborate to maintain accurate costing and invoicing.
    • Invoicing and Costing Management: Resolve issues adhering to standard principles.
    • Maintain a strong process-driven control environment.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with Key Account Managers on monthly budgets and forecasts.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Assist finance and sales teams with sales figures and budget data. Provide detailed sales reports and product analysis. Manage rebate reports and contracts per client.
