    Centre for Teaching and Learning (Blended Learning Innovation and Support) Learning Technology Specialist

    Duties and responsibilities:
    •    Research 

    •      Benchmark international and national withther higher education institutions in the usef various learning technologies.
    •     Scanf the learning technology service provider environment to find possible solutions to address teaching and learning needs within faculties and/or the institution.
    •     Write project proposals and evaluation reports, as well as prepare documentation for relevant committees towards the usef emerging learning technology at the UFS.

        Project Management 

    •    Overall project administrationf ETLS applications and process flow.
    •    Develop project plans for the evaluation, testing and implementationf various learning technologies.
    •     Coordinate with various project role playersn evaluation / implementationf various learning technology projects.
    •    Monitor project progress and adherence to project timelines.
    •   Implement various learning technology project activities as required per project plansr where need.
    •   Provide the necessary support (including training) to internal stake holders in the implementationf learning technology projects.
    •    Organise, administer, attend and participate in project meetings.

        Client Relations 

    •     Collaborate with faculties in understanding learning technology needs, as well as the design, implementation and evaluationf various learning technologies.
    •     Collaborate with various support services in the design, implementation and evaluationf various learning technologies.
    •     Collaborate with various external educational technology service providers andther higher education institutions in the evaluationf various learning technologies.

        Administration 

    •     Prepare project documentation for relevant committees and reports.
    •     Provide general administrative and logistical support for various learning technologies projects.
    •     Perform daily administrative tasks such as emails, written correspondence and telephone queries.

    Inherent requirements:

    •    Relevant Bachelor’s degreer an Advanced Diploma / B.Tech degree / Postgraduate Certificaten NQF level 7.
    •    Two (2) years’ relevant working experience in:
    •   the usef Learning Technologies (Learning Management System (LMS) and/orther learning technology);
    •    project management and project administration;
    •     the higher education environment.

    Recommendations 

    •   Honours degree /Postgraduate Diploma/Professional Bachelor’s degreen NQF level 8.
    •  Certification in project management.
