    Business Development Manager

    Role purpose:

    Development of new Logos, innovative growth projects, new product initiatives as well as large complex deals and Tenders.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Identify new logos, develop a plan and execute to bring on to the TowerCo client list.
    • Engage customers and bring on new products and services within the TowerCo environment and manage the product lifecycle.
    • Develop partners in the market to co-sell or sell through to expand the sales reach.
    • Actively engage government/municipalities to engage in any appropriate regulatory debates or tenders.  
    • Develop and present customer proposals including financials.
    • Develop a pipeline of opportunities and keep updated in CRM.
    • Develop business cases as well as track and analyze existing business cases per partner/product/client.
    • Acquire a deep understanding of the customer business to best satisfy their needs.
    • Proactively engage the business, customers, and the market as a whole to identify and present innovative commercial ideas to the TowerCo Executive.
    • Trusted and respected as a thought leader and change agent who can influence and persuade business and TowerCo Leadership Team.

    Ideally you should possess the following:

    Matric/Grade 12 is essential.

    • Relevant 3-year degree/diploma.
    • 8 years + of experience in Development experience.
    • Telecommunications industry experience (preferably wireless in SA).
    • Relevant CRM experience. 
    • Strong communication skills – ability to engage and present at C level.
    • Expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distill complex technical concepts into simple terms, with strong persuasion skills to gain support for principles, standards, and change.
    • Excellent relationship-building, teamwork, and collaboration skills that enable the provision of effective support and guidance across programs.
    • Proven track record on key outputs/disciplines.
