Bsc Technician: NRL Immunology - Centurion at Ampath

Purpose of Position:

To process specimens according to set criteria and standards on all benches within the Immunology

•  Laboratory and to assist with monitoring the workflow requirements to ensure timeous delivery of 

results
Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science, Grade 12, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

• Experience in pathology laboratory environment,
• Knowledge: Accreditation processes / procedures,
• Knowledge: GCP/GLP requirements,
• Knowledge: HPCSA regulations,
• Knowledge: Instrumentation and Methodologies,
• Knowledge: Materials Management,
• Knowledge: Meditech system,
• Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA),
• Knowledge: relevant pathology test procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath,
• Maintain quality control in order to ensure relevant quality standards are upheld within the laboratory,
• Perform allocated bench work in order to ensure effective and timeous delivery of results,
• Perform mm tasks in order to ensure effective monitoring and ordering of stock quantities
